NATIONAL ANGLING COUNCIL
2014 CSSC Pike Angling Championship
The 2014 CSSC National Pike Angling Championship match took place on
Thursday 6th November 2014 at Pentney Lakes, near Kings Lynn,
Expectations were high as most anglers arrived at the agreed meeting time of 8.30am at the fishery for the draw and as soon as the draw for individual pegs and the pairs had taken place, the anglers quickly made their way to their respective pegs to fish the match.
The results of the 2014 Individual Championships were as follows:-
1st – Iain Rickerby 2 fish @ 5lb 14oz & 13lb 6oz for 19lb 04oz
2nd – Ian Halliwell 2 fish @ 7lb 12oz & 5lb 3oz for 12lb 15oz
3rd – Peter Gallagher 2 fish @ 5lb 6oz and 5lb 4oz for 10lb 10oz
The result of the 2014 CSSC Pike Championship Pairs Competition were:-
1st Iain Rickerby & Brian Corner 3 fish for 23lb 07oz
2nd Ian Halliwell & Jon Bowland 2 fish for 12lb 15oz
3rd Barry Davies & John Downing 2 fish for 11lb 01oz
Everyone said that they enjoyed the fishing, and it was agreed by all of the anglers that attended the event that the 2015 CSSC Pike Angling Championship should be held at the same venue.
I would like to thank Jenny Yarrow from the CSSC Event Organising Team and the CSSC Angling Council for their help and support in organising this competition.
I would especially like to thank Jim North and the CSSC Angling Council for supplying the trophy’s.
Finally I would like to thank all of the anglers that turned up to complete and helped to make this an enjoyable days fishing. Hope to see you all again next year.
