2015 CSSC Pike Angling Championship

The 2015 CSSC National Pike Angling Championship match took place on Thursday 5th November 2015 at Pentney Lakes, near Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

The match was to be fished on two separate lakes at the venue, and fishing was from 9.30am to 4.30pm with fourteen anglers turning up to compete in the "CSSC Individual Pike Angling Championship" and the "CSSC Pike Angling Pairs Championship".

Expectations were high as most anglers arrived at the agreed meeting time of 8.15am at the fishery for the draw and as soon as the draw for individual pegs and the pairs had taken place, the anglers quickly made their way to their respective pegs to fish the match.

The results of the 2015 Individual Championships were as follows:-

1st – Gary Boast     5 fish @ 31lb 14oz

2nd – Brian Corner 1 fish @ 6lb 15oz

3rd – Barry Davies 1 fish @ 5lb  5oz

The result of the 2015 CSSC Pike Championship Pairs Competition were:-

1st Gary Boast & Peter Gallagher 5 fish for 31lb 15oz

2nd Brian Corner & Iain Rickerby 1 fish for 6lb 15oz

3rd Barry Davies & John Downing 1 fish for 5lb 5oz

Everyone said that they enjoyed the fishing and it was agreed by all of the anglers that attended the event that the 2016 Pike Angling Championship should be held at the same venue.

I would like to thank Jennt Yarrow from  CSSC Event Organising Team and the CSSC Angling Council for their help and support in organising this competition.

I would especially like to thank Jim North and the CSSC Angling Council for supplying and awarding the trophies and Chris Neden for his help with the pegging.

Finally I would like to thank all the anglers that turned up to compete and helped to make this an enjoyable day's fishing. Hope to see you all again next year.
