2025 - Friday 31st October - North Beach, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.

The last CSSC Shore Angling Final to be organised by the Angling Council certainly turned out to be a memorable one.

The venue was the North Beach at Great Yarmouth which proved to be a fair and easily accessible competition area. However, it was the sheer number of fish that were caught, in this measure and release competition, that made it so memorable.

I will let the results tables speak for themselves but this competition broke all previous records, for fish caught by individuals and in total, for a Shore Final. 1101 fish for over 331 metres.

It was tired  anglers that attended the presentation and the drama did not stop there with the top two teams drawing on points and having to be separated by the number of fish caught.

Scoring is total number of position points, where first in zone gets one point and last a possible eleven, ie. three zone wins would give a team total of 3. If a team has only two members then they will be credited 12 points for the missing team member. No fish caught gets that competitor twelve points.
