On the day, twelve anglers turned up to compete in the "CSSC Individual Pike Angling Championship" and the "CSSC Pike Angling Pairs Championship", with the match being fished from 9.30am to 4.30pm and expectations were high as the anglers arrived early at the fishery.

As usual the weather was not kind to us with Northerly gusting winds rain showers for most of the day.

At the draw, each of the competitors received a copy of the rules and a catch card, before setting off to various spots around the lakes to fish the match.
