2013 - Thursday 17th October - R. Tay estuary, Dundee 

 A very successful final with everybody catching fish, which included flounder, dab, codling, coalfish, blenny, eel, rockling, whiting, pollack, smelt and shad although I think perhaps some competitors should bone up on their fish identification! The venue, as you cam see from the picture gallery, was very comfortable with free parking behind most pegs supplied by Dundee council. Longest fish were a pair of 37 centimetre codling for Ray Edmonds (N) and Iain Graham (Sc). 

28/10/13 - Apologies to Kev Eley (E) who phoned me today and pointed out that he had a 38cm flounder.

Congratulations to the Welsh team, a very deserved win as you put themselves out to practise on the venue beforehand and congratulations to Paul Foot (SE) for a very fine effort as top individual.

 Next year's final will be fished on the River Mersey at Otterspool, Liverpool on 13th November 2014.

Please note that accommodation for these finals is booked at least a year in advance and numbers are based on the regional teams that we know will be taking part. If you want to bring your partner or make the event a family holiday you must contact the angling council first, do not approach the hotel.

Scoring is total number of position points, where first in zone gets one point and last a possible twelve, ie. three zone wins would give a team total of 3. If a team has only two members then they will be credited 12 points for the missing team member.
